We offer the following services and procedures:
Cardiac Catheterization Lab
With our state-of-the-art catheterization labs, our interventional cardiologists have the most advanced technology available in the field to support their skills and expertise. The cardiologists on our interventional staff have exceptional medical backgrounds and are recognized as clinical leaders both regionally and nationally. Their creative work in making the successful treatment of cardiac disease a safe and long lasting endeavor has contributed greatly to the prominence of our program.
Members of the cardiovascular intervention team are present at every step in the convalescence process of the cardiac patients. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, we are able to match the best treatment strategy to the individual patient. Nurses, technicians and office staff all attend to the needs of each patient with the highest levels of expertise and compassion.
For patients who need a more involved level of diagnostic testing and treatment, the Heart Institute offers a vast range of cardiovascular interventional procedures, from diagnostic evaluations to intricate coronary disease treatment techniques.
These procedures include:
Anadolu Medical Center specializes in the care of the patients with rhythm problems and provides the full spectrum of non-invasive and invasive treatments for cardiac arrhythmia.
Electrophysiology testing makes it possible to study heart rhythm disturbances under controlled circumstances. By using special insulated wires called catheters, doctors are able to identify rhythm disturbance and choose the best method of treatment. Intravenous catheters are placed, usually from the vein in the groin area, so that they can be advanced into the right side of the heart. In the right side of the heart, recordings can be made that give a very clear picture of the normal sequence of electrical activation within the heart.
There are a number of further procedures to treat arrhythmia. After the catheters are in position, the doctor evaluates the heart rhythm disturbance by sending short electrical impulses to the heart (via a pacemaker through one of the catheters) to make it beat at different rates.
This offers important information regarding arrhythmia mechanism, prognosis, risk of serious symptoms and response to medications.
Multi-slice CT Angiography
Coronary artery disease is the leading cause of death for men and women. Its early detection and extent is more important than ever. Anadolu Medical Center has now further enhanced its outstanding cardiac care expertise by offering non-invasive multi-slice computed tomography (CT) angiography. The multi-slice scanner produces detailed and accurate three-dimensional images of the coronary arteries, the coronary veins, and the heart itself, faster than ever before and with better comfort and safety for our patients.
