The meeting "Partner's Forum" where all hospitals affiliated to Johns Hopkins Medicine gather is held every year in the USA. 18 hospitals in cooperation with JHM all over the world attended the meeting this year which was held on 25 October 2016 at the Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore. Every institution applied in order to submit the significant studies they performed in the meeting held by Johns Hopkins.
As the Anadolu Medical Center we as well applied in order to make a presentation pertaining to our study of "Improving compliance with safe surgery checklist" conducted under the leadership of Dr. Hişam Alahdab, Deputy Medical Director Responsible for Clinical Quality and Patient Safety, and it was accepted. Subsequently we were selected from among accepted presentations in order to make a verbal presentation.
Dr. Hişam Alahdab reporting that our study attracted great attention said "We won awards both in studies and presentations performed in "Patient Safety" and as well we won the first prize with our study of "Improving compliance with safe surgery checklist" among all studies conducted independent of any category. That is to say, as Anadolu Medical Center we became the first with our study among the entire studies performed. It is very important for us to be deemed worthy of such award by Johns Hopkins Medicine. As an institution we have a high opinion of Clinical Quality and Patient Safety. And we put emphasis on that on all occasions. Furthermore we as well conduct scientific and academic works in order to improve our clinical quality and patient safety. We observe the effectiveness of such activities in the field, and at the same time it is very pleasing for us to share such experiences of ours on national and international platforms as well and that we are appreciated. Now Anadolu Medical Center is known, recognized and becomes the point of interest within the Johns Hopkins society especially for its successful studies and our name is mentioned frequently throughout the world. And that is so much valuable for us".
Of course this is a team work and we as well celebrate the teams of Surgery, Anesthesia, Operating Room and Strategic Planning and Performance Development together with the Clinical Quality and Patient Safety Teams which demonstrated their efforts in this study.
