"The Pink Ball in the Court" project that has been organized between Anadolu Medical Center and Anadolu Efes Sports Club in order to raise awareness for the early diagnosis of breast cancer is being carried out for the second time. The match to be played between Anadolu Efes and EA7 Emporio Armani within the scope of the project shall be started with a jump ball wherein a pink ball shall be used. The jump ball of the match to played on 22 October shall be made by the famous actress Bergüzar Korel voluntarily supporting the project. In order to attract attention on the project Bergüzar Korel is working in cooperation with the skilled photographer Tamer Yılmaz and posed for the camera with a Pink Ball.
1 million 400 thousand women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and it is seen in one from among 8 women and thousands of women lose their lives because of this disease. On the other hand early diagnosis in breast cancer saves lives. Anadolu Medical Center continues its struggle with breast cancer threatening women's health this year as well through the awareness project called the "Pink Ball in the the Court” which was organized first in 2014 in cooperation with Anadolu Efes Sports Club.
Within the scope of the project organized in October which is celebrated as the "Breast Cancer Awareness Month" all over the world, the first Euroleague match to be played between Anadolu Efes Spor Kulübü and EA7 Emporio Armani on 22 October 2015 shall start with the jump ball wherein Bergüzar Korel will use a pink ball.
In order to attract the attention on the significance of early diagnosis in breast cancer Bergüzar Korel voluntarily supporting the project posed for the camera with a "Pink Ball". Korel posed for the famous photographer Tamer Yıldız who is as well a supporter of the project. Korel said "Early diagnosis" saving lives in breast cancer is a fact. I hope to give support to creating awareness for every women to whom I could reach as a woman on the issue of breast cancer. I am very happy to be a part of this project.
