He graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Medicine in 2003. He completed his urology residency training at Marmara University, Faculty of Medicine, Urology Department between 2003-2008. During his assistantship, he went to Humboldt University, Charite Virchow Clinic for kidney transplantation training in 2005 and to Heidelberg University, Heilbronn Clinic, in Germany for basic laparoscopy training in 2007.
Following his residency, he completed his military service in Balıkesir Military Hospital between 2009-2010 and his State Service Liability in Siirt Kurtalan State Hospital between 2010-2011.
In 2011, he took up a position as an academic in Marmara University, Faculty of Medicine, Urology Department, and then he was granted the titles of Assistant Professor in 2014 and Associated Professor of Urology in 2017.
Between 2014-2015, he conducted basic scientific and clinical studies in the field of Urooncology in Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, affiliated with Harvard Medical School in the United States with a grant from Türkiye Kanserle Savaş Vakfı (Fight with Cancer Foundation of Turkey) for one year.
He was awarded Fellow of European Board of Urology (FEBU) Diploma in 2010 and the title of Fellow of American College of Surgeons (FACS) in 2018.
