Anadolu Medical Center Hospital was established in 2005 by the Anadolu Foundation, founded by Mr. Kamil Yazıcı and Mr. İzzet Özilhan, which has contributed numerous valuable works and initiatives to Türkiye. Since its establishment, Anadolu Medical Center Hospital has been providing high-quality healthcare services to patients from Türkiye and around the world with its expert medical staff and advanced technology, guided by its vision of becoming a “Center of Health.” This vision is further strengthened by its ongoing strategic partnership with Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM), which has been consistently recognized among the world’s leading healthcare institutions, focusing on education, quality improvement, and the advancement of healthcare standards.

Located on approximately 188,000 square meters of land in Gebze, Kocaeli, Anadolu Medical Center Hospital continues to provide healthcare services across 50,000 square meters of indoor space. In addition to its strategic partnership with Johns Hopkins Medicine, the hospital distinguishes itself in the healthcare sector through internationally recognized accreditations and quality certifications. These include JCI (Joint Commission International) Accreditation, regarded as the gold standard in global healthcare; OECI (Organisation of European Cancer Institutes) Accreditation; ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) Accreditation; and Planetree Gold Certification for Person-Centered Care. Anadolu Medical Center Hospital has also been recognized as a “Fully Accredited Interventional Oncology Service” for its regional tumor treatment procedures in interventional radiology and became the third center worldwide to receive the IASIOS accreditation seal, supported by the European Cancer Organisation.

A reference center in oncology, Anadolu Medical Center Hospital is also one of Türkiye’s leading healthcare institutions, particularly in bone marrow transplantation. Since the Bone Marrow Transplantation Center was established in 2010, more than 3,000 bone marrow transplants have been performed. The hospital has expanded its Oncology Center with the establishment of the Breast Health Center in 2015, the Uro-Oncology Center in 2017, and the Pediatric Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplantation Center in 2022.

Another distinctive feature of Anadolu Medical Center Hospital as an oncology reference center is its multidisciplinary approach to cancer care, under which every patient diagnosed with cancer is evaluated by the relevant Tumor Boards. In addition to the General Tumor Board, the Oncology Center has a total of 11 specialized tumor boards, including the Breast Tumor Board, Uro-Oncology Board, Head and Neck Tumor Board, and Thoracic Tumor Board. Every cancer patient is discussed by the relevant multidisciplinary board, ensuring that the most appropriate treatment decisions are reached collectively by specialists from all relevant disciplines. In line with the standards of the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI), the number of tumor boards has been expanded to ensure that every patient diagnosed with cancer receives a comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation and an individualized treatment plan.

Tumor Boards include specialists from Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Pathology as core members. Depending on the patient’s condition, surgeons from the relevant specialties, as well as psychiatrists or psychologists, may also be invited to participate in the evaluation process.

Anadolu Medical Center Hospital provides healthcare services to patients from around the world across a comprehensive range of medical specialties, including Oncology, Surgical Sciences and Tumor Surgery, Internal Medicine, Women’s Health and IVF, Heart Health, Diagnosis and Imaging, as well as many other specialties. As a healthcare institution that closely follows technological developments and continuously invests in advanced medical equipment, the hospital is committed to offering the latest treatment options through technologies including the Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system, Accuray CyberKnife M6, MR-Linac, Discovery RT CT scanner, Radixact, Varian Edge, 3 Tesla MRI, MR-TRUS Fusion, and technologies used in hybrid operating rooms such as neuromonitoring, neuroendoscopy, O-arm CT, fluorescence-filtered microscopy, and neuronavigation. The hospital also utilizes advanced technologies and procedures such as ERCP, endoscopic ultrasonography, FibroScan, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), and CTC.
